Yes definitely, when I first started I would “keyword stuff” and just think of as many keywords as possible to include in the board. But as Pinterest SEO counts on not only how the software Pinterest understand your pins/ board, but also how people engage on Pinterest with it, this isn’t the best tactic.

So using a description like “blogging tips, blogging tricks, blogging for beginners” will partially tell Pinterest your pin is about blogging, but it looks really spammy to people so they won’t engage with it properly! And ultimately, it’s up to the people who follow you and see your pins how well that pin performs- other people need to share it to relevant boards for Pinterest to fully “get” what the pin topics are, and they won’t share it to boards if the description isn’t engaging them!
